has been responsible for the design and construction supervision of the entire
Sicilian motorway network.
To date some 400 Km have been
designed of which 300 built, in extremely difficult and highly seismic terrain.

Today, the final
lot of the Messina Palermo motorway is under construction, while the
Syracuse-Gela motorway is partly under construction and partly undergoing
design review.
Since the northern
motorway alignment, Messina-Palermo, has been the most complex of these
projects, due to the nature of the terrain and the large numbers of tunnels and
viaducts required, a detailed project
